I got a late start this morning after sleeping like crap last night, so I called in to my boss (Pat) to tell her I'd be late. I wanted to ask her to tell Lisa I'd be late, too, so that word would spread and people wouldn't be left wondering. But apparently, my thoughts were a bit scrambled this morning, and after Pat's voicemail picked up, I started my message by saying, "Hi Lisa, it's Pat."
